Macarons- It’s probably a good thing that I don’t like these. Strange, considering I have quite a sweeth tooth. But, again it’s probably good, otherwise I would be broke, and have a long lecture from my dentist.
They are however very pretty gifts and very pretty to draw. I reckon it’s more of the visual appeal than it actually tastes. I’m biased though, what do you think?
Tim Knowles - Tree Drawings (2006)
Artist’s statement:
“A series of drawings produced using drawing implements attached to the tips of tree branches, the wind’s effects on the tree recorded on paper.
Like signatures each drawing reveals the different qualities and characteristics of each tree.”

The Yin and Yang of Creativity
A great post by my wonderful friend photographer Holger Feroudj on the ideas of creativity. I relate to this strongly, what about you?
Using colour AND drawing ever so slightly realistically..not sure I like observational drawing very much. Needs more imagination. =)
Not really a work in progress. More of a “stop being scared of the perfectly clean smooth paper” session #gowiththeflow #itjusthappened
Caux Collective Redirects: IBM Billboards
Through their ‘Smarter Cities’ project, American technology company IBM have sought to create innovative solutions to common problems, with the hope of improving the standard of every day living in cities, helping their residents become ‘smarter’. In order to spark the creative process into action, IBM turned to communications and advertising specialists Ogilvy to produce a set of outdoor advertising with a purpose.

Super clever and practical!

Mysterious dangling hand, a work in progress. I somehow in-deliberately created a slightly eerie drawing. Sends good shivers down my spine every time I look at it.

A Melody To Myself
Throw Back Thursday!
So as I was in the process of storing this away as a forgotten piece, I decided to instead, put it up on hitRECord to see what the fantastic collaborators would be able to do with it. A nice couple of ‘Tiny Stories’ has come out of it, as well as some amazing feedback. I am looking to redraw this, as this was done back in 2011, it would be interesting to see how much my drawing has evolved since then.
