Jiwoon PAK creates warm and cozy illustrations
Jiwoon was born in Korea and finished there university (as well as in France). Can I tell that her illustrations are different? Almost. However, I really love them. They are simple. Even though Jiwoon has a lot of different details in each illustration, her color choice makes everything to look aesthetic.
I am very excited to announce that I will be having my first solo exhibition!
On display (and for sale) are my vintage plates and small selection of prints.
My vintage plates will only be available from the exhibition and a limited number on my online shop until January.
So if you’re in the area, pop by! The opening night will be on Friday 1st November 2013.
So I realise that I haven’t posted any drawings lately. Fear not! I am still drawing. Lots of things have been going on for example my first exhibition in Indianapolis! More on that soon to come. Here’s something for those who are waking up and are about to have brekky #breakfast
Or we can pretend it’s another galaxy…
Nebulae by Fabian OefnerWhat might look like a giant nebula or a distant galaxy at first glance, is in reality the glowing ends of a fibre glass lamp. The images were created by taking long-time exposures of several fibre glass lamps (exactly, those ugly-looking lamps, that were extremely popular in the 90`s) moving around in a darkened room. Afterwards, severeal images were multiplied in photoshop to achieve the density of such a structure. What I personally like about this project is how you can create an illusionist space with such simple means, that are familiar to everybody.
Karte Design Fabrik (Berlin)
Beautiful geometric stationery.
I’m in the process of framing up my small selection of greeting cards that I purchased from Karte. I also just discovered a subscription pack to receive a selection of their cards! I love a bit of unexpected (sort of) post.
